Class Descriptions

A yoga teacher is a “guide” who assists you to stretch, reach, move, release, energize and strengthen your body and well-being. Here is a description of our classes. Please attend a class time that fits your schedule. We can then assess your needs and help you to find a great class.

Beginners/Intro: Join in and try a yoga class.

Level 1-3: A mixed level class for beginners and continuing students.

Level 2-3: For intermediate/advanced students.

Gentle: Students with physical limitations due to injury, stiffness or other mind/body issues. Beginners welcome.

Pre/postnatal: Please attend the Gentle or Restorative classes.

Flow Level 1-3: A varied sequence weaving asana, breath, music, and meditation building strength, balancing energy and supporting a deeper connection with Life.  Class includes opportunity for inversions with modifications as needed.

Yoga for 50+:
A very gentle class for beginners as well as 50+, focusing on strengthening the body, increasing balance and flexibility with props.

Yin and Restorative: Focuses on exploring the body and quieting the mind. You will deepen and enhance flexibility and release from the core of the body. This practice requires time and patience because poses are held for 4 - 7 minutes, which reaches the deeper connective tissues of the hips, pelvis and lower spine. We offer meditation and asana in this practice. Appropriate for both new and advanced yogis.
