DANVILLE YOGA CENTER

IT'S ALL YOGA

About us…

The Danville Yoga Center has been located under the old oak trees for over a decade. Teachers Lauren Davis and Gay White (both from The Yoga Room, Donald Moyer being their teacher), came from Berkeley offering Hatha Yoga and established our Center, one of the first of its kind on this side of the tunnel.  Lauren then took over, and with the help of our students, maintained a great schedule. Now Kamla Sufi is the Director. She has been a student here from the day the Center opened and has a deep appreciation for this special place. Her belief is one of offering yoga for the “whole” person - the Center has community activities, specialty workshops and great teachers.

Iyengar yoga emphasizes alignment of the body as poses and the movement of the breath during your practice.  In lyengar yoga, props help to find the proper positions and acheive comfort in poses. Although our yoga instructors have been influenced and/or trained in the Iyengar style of yoga, each teacher’s class reflects influences from other traditions as well.

If you would like to receive email notifications of our classes, workshops and retreats, please send an email to kamla@danvilleyogacenter.com. If this is your first time to the Danville Yoga Center or to yoga, please visit our For Beginners page for more specific information to help you begin.

We look forward to meeting you and helping you with your yoga practice.
